I was just thinking about a friend of mine who said she thought leaving the hills and trees to go spend a long period of time in the prairie, would be sad and hard. It was nice to hear her say that because it brought up a memory I hadn't surveyed in quite awhile. Years back I think around 1993, I was giving Floyd a ride back from the Hills to the reservation near Mission and along the way we were talking about that very thing. I noted how empty and cold and lonely the prairie made me feel and that in the Hills I was connected and felt like I could commune with my surroundings better. Floyd said how he was always glad to get away from the Hills, as they made him claustrophobic. He said he just never could quite get comfortable breathing there. I have since come to a great peace and have a strong admiration for the prairie and its wide open beauty. I pray that God has shown Floyd the freedom of the Hills. -----Thanks for the good memories
